Battery ageing on the Nextbase 512GW

As a 512GW gets older, the original internal lithium battery can lose capacity even though the camera still appears to work normally when powered in the car. A useful clue is what happens when external power is removed: an exhausted cell may cause an immediate switch-off or prevent the camera from completing its normal shutdown behaviour. Replacing the battery is intended to address this type of power-storage fault; it is not a blanket cure for lens, screen, SD-card, socket or circuit-board problems. The camera is therefore checked after the new battery has been installed.

Warranty
