The complete preservation and performance package for a compatible UK or European PAL SEGA Mega Drive Model 2: recap, Triple Bypass V2.1 and switchless region-free operation in one carefully tested service.

What’s included

  • Full electrolytic capacitor replacement with quality modern parts
  • Triple Bypass V2.1 installation for clean RGB video and improved audio
  • Switchless Europe, USA and Japan selection with 50/60Hz control
  • Status LED integration
  • Internal and connector clean
  • Regulator and thermal inspection
  • Extended functional testing
  • Tracked UK return postage

Model 2 board revisions vary, so region-upgrade compatibility is confirmed on inspection. A quality RGB cable is recommended, and some imports may still need physical cartridge-slot accommodation.

The package assumes a generally working console. Unrelated faults, corrosion or previous modification damage are quoted separately before extra work.

Turnaround time

Repairs are normally completed within 1–2 working days after receipt, subject to inspection, parts availability and current workload.

Warranty

The repair, installed parts and workmanship are covered for 12 months against repair-related faults. Accidental damage, liquid damage, impact damage, misuse, normal battery ageing and unrelated faults are not covered.

Before posting your device

Send the main device only unless the product description or FrameRate Builds specifically asks for accessories. Use a sturdy box with cushioning on every side; a padded envelope is not suitable protection for electronics.
