The complete preservation and display-upgrade package for a SEGA Game Gear: professional ceramic capacitor replacement combined with a modern RetroSix CleanScreen V4 IPS installation.

What’s included

  • Relevant main-board and audio-board capacitors replaced with quality ceramic components
  • Leaked electrolyte and affected board areas cleaned where practical
  • Genuine CleanScreen V4 IPS kit supplied and professionally installed
  • Internal inspection and light clean
  • Power, display, sound, controls and cartridge testing
  • Tracked UK return postage

This package is ideal for a largely original Game Gear that needs both age-related electronic servicing and a significantly improved screen.

Please note: extensive corrosion, missing PCB tracks, failed custom ICs, damaged cartridge slots and poor previous modification work may require additional assessment. We will contact you before carrying out extra chargeable work, and no temporary improvement will be represented as a permanent repair.

Turnaround time

Repairs are normally completed within 1–2 working days after receipt, subject to inspection, parts availability and current workload.

Warranty

The repair, installed parts and workmanship are covered for 12 months against repair-related faults. Accidental damage, liquid damage, impact damage, misuse, normal battery ageing and unrelated faults are not covered.

Before posting your device

Send the main device only unless the product description or FrameRate Builds specifically asks for accessories. Use a sturdy box with cushioning on every side; a padded envelope is not suitable protection for electronics.
