Professional capacitor replacement for the Nintendo GameCube optical drive controller board. Ageing surface-mount capacitors can contribute to intermittent disc recognition, slow reading or failure to read discs, particularly when the console is cold.

Please note: this service covers the optical drive controller board capacitors. It cannot repair every disc-reading problem; a worn laser, spindle motor, mechanical fault or unrelated component may require additional diagnosis. Contact us before ordering if the console does not currently read discs.

1. Purchase the service online.
2. Pack the console securely and send it to the address supplied after ordering. Please do not use a padded envelope.
3. The console is inspected, recapped and tested.
4. Tracked UK return delivery is included in the price.

A recap is preventative restoration work and does not guarantee repair of unrelated existing faults. If the console is already faulty, please contact us before ordering. Any additional work will be discussed before it is carried out.

This service includes a six-month warranty covering the replacement capacitors and our workmanship. It does not cover unrelated components, accidental damage, liquid damage or faults outside the work completed.
