New PS5 DualSense Controller – GuliKit TMR Magnetic Joystick Upgrade

A brand-new genuine Sony DualSense controller, professionally upgraded with genuine GuliKit TMR magnetic analogue sticks before it ever reaches your hands.

FrameRate Builds replaces both factory analogue-stick modules with GuliKit TMR electromagnetic joystick modules, electronically calibrates the controller, then carries out a full function test before dispatch.

You keep the genuine DualSense experience — adaptive triggers, haptic feedback, touchpad, speaker, microphones and wireless play — while upgrading both analogue sticks to modern contactless TMR sensing.

Choose your DualSense colour

Choose from our core range of genuine Sony colours: White, Midnight Black, Cosmic Red, Nova Pink, Starlight Blue, Galactic Purple or Grey Camouflage. We deliberately keep the range to colours that are normally readily available from major UK retailers at standard pricing. Controllers are sourced new and built to order; unusual supplier shortages may occasionally affect dispatch.

Why GuliKit TMR?

Conventional analogue sticks use resistive contact tracks that physically wear as the stick is used. GuliKit TMR (Tunnel Magnetoresistance) modules sense stick position magnetically without relying on those carbon-film position tracks. GuliKit specifies its TMR sensor as contactless and wear-free, with low power consumption comparable to a conventional carbon-film joystick.

Professionally installed — not just fitted

Replacing soldered DualSense joystick modules is precision PCB work. Each new controller is opened specifically for the upgrade, both original modules are professionally desoldered, the GuliKit TMR modules are installed, and the board is inspected and cleaned before reassembly.

After reassembly, both sticks are electronically calibrated and checked for centre, full range and circularity. Premium joystick hardware still needs correct calibration to perform as intended.

Full controller testing with PGD Pro Prisma

We do not stop when the sticks move on a basic gamepad tester. Every completed controller receives a full functionality check using PGD Pro Prisma before it leaves our workshop.

Built to order in our UK workshop

This is not an off-the-shelf third-party controller. After you order, we source a new genuine Sony DualSense in your selected colour and carry out the TMR conversion in-house at FrameRate Builds. Typical dispatch is within 2–3 working days, subject to supplier availability of the selected Sony colour.

Important information

The controller is sourced brand new and unused, but it is opened by FrameRate Builds to perform the joystick upgrade, calibration and testing. GuliKit TMR joystick modules are aftermarket upgrade components and are not manufactured or endorsed by Sony Interactive Entertainment. Modification may affect Sony's original manufacturer warranty. Your FrameRate Builds warranty covers the installed TMR parts and our workmanship for 12 months.

TMR technology removes the carbon-track wear mechanism associated with conventional analogue-stick sensing, but no controller can be guaranteed against every possible future mechanical, impact, contamination or electronic fault.
